Convention: A-list lineup

American statesman Colin Powell will speak at the Opening Session of the 95th Annual Kiwanis International Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 24–27, 2010. Powell served as United States Secretary of State from 2001 to 2005.

Ticketed events include a Kiwanis Breakfast with Jerry Mathers, known to most as “Beaver” on television’s Leave it to Beaver, and a hilarious night with Jay Leno, host of The Jay Leno Show.

And don’t forget—if you register before Jan. 31, you’ll save US$55!

I have not been able to find out exactly where the convention is being held.  Is it in the convention center or one of the hotels?  Is it being held in separate hotels or all in one place.  

This makes a difference when booking a hotel.  Can I get some better information?

The convention will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There is a link to the convention center's Web site on the KI Vegas site at sites.kiwanis.org/.../registration.aspx. There is a floor plan on that site although I don't believe we have rooms mapped out for our events and presentations yet. On the floor plan page of the Vegas Convention Center site, there is also a link to view a campus overview map and that would show you the official KI hotels in relations to the convention center. Hope that helps!
