The Golden K Kiwanis Club presented 117 Citizen of the Year certificates to students at five elementary schools and Willow Creek Middle School on the last day of school. Citizen of the Year awards recognize students for leadership and service to others during the school year, and the winners are chosen by their fellow classmates. Pictured are students from Lincoln School with Golden K Kiwanis members Robert Stark (back-left), President-Elect, and Bob Blankers (back-right). Kiwanis believes that through its Service Leadership Programs, budding leaders can build character and personal-leadership skills and create better communities for generations to come. The Golden K meets at 8:15 a.m. Tuesdays at SeniorPlace. Anyone 18 years of age or older wishing to help children is invited to join.
