World Service Medal Winner thanks Don Canaday

Dear Mr. Canaday,

It would be impossible to convey how much the Kiwanis International endorsement of Malaria as a major children’s problem has meant to me, my colleagues in the Army, and to all of us who struggle to find a solution. The decision of Kiwanis International to highlight the guest for a vaccine affirms, both its potential, and the greater role it will play in elimination. Thank you for the great support and honor. I will endeavor to use it to maximun public health benefit.

In closing, I also salute you and your work for Kiwanis International. The more I learn of your organization’s excellent work, the more I’m convinced it is and will be an engine for positive change in the health of children.
