GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK—More than 100 Long Island South Central Kiwanis student members enjoyed a night filled with fun and games that benefited charities like the international project to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus, Kamp Kiwanis and for the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center.
East Meadow Circle Kers, Key Clubbers, Builders Club members and K-Kids challenged each other to laser tag duels and participated in video game competitions with rival schools.
When they were not running around the laser tag maze, the members also enjoyed pleasant conversations and good-humored trash talk between competing clubs as they indulged on pizza.
Along with East Meadow members, Kiwanians from Farmingdale, Franklin Square and Merrick were present, but it was the East Meadow High School Key Club that walked away with the championship trophy that they earned based on the club’s overwhelming support for the fundraisers, as well as expert laser blasting.
