RIPON, WISCONSIN— It’s the mantra of many a frustrated parent.
I spend oodles of money on toys my child plays with for a week — then never touches again. Aghh!
Too bad a parent can’t simply borrow a toy for a short time, and then take it back when the novelty of it wears off, right?
Soon parents can.
Starting this summer, in addition to lending books, movies and more, the Ripon Public Library will offer a variety of fun and educational toys.
They will be available via a “Toy Lending Library,” an effort sponsored by Ripon Noon Kiwanis, funded in part by a Webster Foundation grant (and Kiwanis) and constructed by Ripon High School student Austin Hiemstra.
In fact, the toy library already is being installed at the library.
