The earthquake that shook Peru and the hurricane that pounded Jamaica and the Yucatán Peninsula have prompted the Kiwanis International Foundation to issue a special request for contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund.
“The Foundation has received numerous messages of concern for the well-being of those affected by Hurricane Dean and the earthquakes in Peru,” notes Foundation Executive Director John Sloan. “As a result, we’ve decided to seek donations for the Disaster Relief Fund, particularly for children who are most affected.”
Working with clubs within the affected areas, the Foundation will make sure contributions are directed to children with the most immediate and critical needs.
If you want to support the relief efforts, you can contribute online or send your support to the Kiwanis International Foundation Disaster Relief Fund, 3636 Woodview Trace, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA 46268.
“Our thoughts are with the countless individuals suffering because of these natural disasters,” John stresses. “Please join us in serving children who are truly the most innocent victims of mother nature.”
