If you’re among those who traditionally ring in the New Year by pledging to eat less and exercise more, here’s a healthier resolution to add to your list: Make the world a better place for children by encouraging your club to contribute to the Kiwanis International Foundation’s Annual Club Gift campaign.
The campaign, which runs from October 1 through September 30, is the Foundation’s primary source of unrestricted income. Participating Kiwanis clubs are encouraged to contribute at a giving level of US$5 per person, with contributions used to meet the needs of children worldwide through disaster relief, project grants, district grants, and scholarships.
“We count on the support of all Kiwanis clubs to provide grants and scholarships,” notes Gregg Puls, manager of Annual Giving. “We hope they will make the International Foundation part of their charitable plans for the year.”
This past year’s campaign set a new record for dollars raised—$798,165, surpassing the previous year’s record of $737,390.
