Tweak driving directions when finding a club

Yahoo’s updated mapping service will send you clicking—and dragging—around the Kiwanis world. With the new tweaks, Kiwanians and guests now can plan side trips and alternate routes when they use Kiwanis International’s online “Find a Club” locator.

Take the new service out for a test drive by accessing the Find a Club locator. When you find a club you’d like to visit, click the “Map It!” prompt. Scroll down and click on “Yahoo! Maps.” In the “Get Map and Directions” area, type your starting location in the “B” field, and click Go. You can alter the directions by left clicking any point along the mapped route and dragging it to another location.

After you’ve made your changes, a comparison shows how many miles have been added or subtracted and how the change affects your driving time.
