Bob Newhart will treat Kiwanians to his nonchalant, understated-yet-outrageously-funny comedic style this June in Orlando, Florida, when he headlines the 2008 Convention’s Live On-Stage show.
Newhart, whose career spans several successful television series, 14 feature films, and millions of albums sold worldwide, is described by the New York Times as “the blandest passenger on the average commuter train … entirely harmless until he opens his mouth.”
From uniquely funny standup bits—like one that explores what would have happened if a Madison Avenue PR rep had coached Abraham Lincoln on how to handle Gettysburg—to his guest appearances on shows like Desperate Housewives and ER to his own television shows, Newhart is a true entertainer who promises to keep conventioning Kiwanians thinking even as they’re laughing.
