It’s difficult to grasp how many children have been touched by the powerful partnership between Kiwanis and the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Each year, Kiwanis funds to CMN impact the lives of more than 17 million children—roughly equal to Beijing China’s total population.
This year, Kiwanis and CMN celebrate a milestone 25 years in partnership.
“For the past 25 years, Kiwanis has done everything in its power to help millions of children treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals,” says Jim Hall, president and Chief Executive Officer of CMN. “Because of Kiwanis’ creative fundraising and service-oriented mission, children throughout North America continue to have access to world-class, life-saving care.”
Kiwanis has contributed more than US$43 million for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals during the past 25 years. Those Kiwanis dollars translate into help for hospitalized children, providing:
- 1,065 neo-natal intensive care unit beds
- 672 repaired hearts
- 2,730 brain MRIs
- 196 bone marrow transplants
- 582 lives without cancer
“Children’s Miracle Network is lucky to have the support of incredible service-oriented organizations like Kiwanis,” Jim Hall says.
