The Minnesota-Dakotas new district Web site graciously served as the test subject for the Kiwanis International IT department and went live with their new Web site in October 2008. Minn-Dak is the first district that worked with our office to overhaul the look, feel and functionality of their Web site. View the finished product and publicly accessible site at http://www.mndak-kiwanis.org .

Kiwanis International rolled this program out last spring (2008) when most of the district secretaries were gathering in Indianapolis, and 15 districts signed up to have their sites customized and revamped. Districts get a Web site designed and hosted by Kiwanis International that is congruent with the Kiwanis brand, yet customized for your district’s special programs and needs. The new Web site templates offer a lot of flexibility and should be easier to maintain than most current sites, and best of all, it costs your district nothing!

For those districts on the waiting list, it is the International office’s goal to have the next seven or so ready to go live around the start of the calendar year (2009). If anyone else out there is interested, we would love to put your district in the queue. Contact kiwanisone@kiwanis.org and we’ll get you on the list.
