KiwanisOne navigation links changing soon

Resources for members on www.KiwanisOne.org are growing and being enhanced all the time. Club Leader Tools and the Online Education–CLE are great examples of much-needed content and features. With a steady pace of introducing new features, navigation can sometimes become overgrown and cluttered, especially on the dashboard (home page).

Current navigation on the KiwanisOne dashboard needs a little housecleaning so that we can add a few new, necessary items. Luckily, we have some duplication between the main navigation on left (blue links) and the orange buttons on right that we can pare down and not lose dashboard presence on anything.

The Web team will be implementing the following changes within about 30 days, and we wanted to give members some notice and reasons for the changes.

In left (blue bar) nav:

• Convention 2009 link goes away in lieu of the Nashville button on right
• Grow Your Club will change to Grow & Build Clubs so New Club Building resources can be added
• Online Learning–CLE link moves to the right as a new orange button
• Partnerships link goes away and becomes a button on right side, too
• International Foundation moves under About Kiwanis and becomes a permanent bottom banner in rotation with the convention promotion.

    This knocks our nav down from 13 links to 9 – much better!

For right-side orange buttons:

• Convention and Login buttons will stay as they are
• Learn, Grown and Lead buttons go away–however, Learn becomes the CLE button, Grow Your Club is already on the left side, as is Club Leader Tools.
• We’ll create a new button: CLE–Online education
• We’ll also add a new button for Partnerships
• That makes 4 buttons instead of 6–less clutter, plus magazine and Kiwanis-family Store link moves up higher!
