Delegates elect new trustees

Delegates to the 94th annual Kiwanis International Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, elected Jerry Peuler, Stewart Ross and Pam Fleming, to be trustees on the 2009-1010 Kiwanis International Board. The three join John Button and Piero Grasso, who were previously elected by delegates from Eastern Canada and the Caribbean and the Kiwanis International European Federation.

Jerry, of La Plata, Maryland, is a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, Mississippi, and a 22-year member and past-distinguished president of the Kiwanis Club of Waldorf, Maryland. He is a past-distinguished lieutenant governor and past governor of the Capital District, where he served as chairman of numerous committees.

 

Stewart, of North Mankato, Minnesota, is a 20-year member of the Kiwanis Club of Mankato, Minnesota, where he served as club president in 1997. He is a past-distinguished lieutenant governor and governor of the Minnesota-Dakotas district, past-distinguished president and secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Mankato and was a former Kiwanian of the year for the Mankato club.

 

Pam, of Sheffield, Alabama, is a member and past-distinguished president of the Kiwanis Club of Sheffield, Alabama, where she served on committees for Key Club, community service, Pancake Day, Peanut Day, Salvation Army bell ringing and boundless playground. She is a past-distinguished lieutenant governor of the Alabama District and a former Kiwanian of the Year.

 

Piero, of Bergamo, Italy, is a 23-year member of Kiwanis, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Bergamo-Orobico, and a former member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Bergamo. He is a past lieutenant governor and district governor, and a served on the international committee on branding and marketing in Europe.

 

John, of Ridgetown, Ontario, is a more than 30-year member and distinguished president of the Kiwanis Club of Ridgetown, Ontario, where he served as bulletin editor, board member and secretary.  He is a Certified Kiwanis Trainer, served on Iodine Deficiency Disorders committees (Worldwide Service Project) for his club and division, and chaired the district’s long-range planning committee.
