Las Vegas may be home to dazzling hotels, spectacular shows and stratospheric shopping opportunities, but behind the glittering spectacle is a city, facing problems similar to a thousand other cities. But like a thousand other cities, Las Vegas has something else, too—Kiwanis clubs. In Las Vegas and throughout Nevada, there are hundreds of members who daily reach out to help children and communities, who raise money to provide scholarships, and support service leadership programs in schools, members who mentor and read to children, who coach sports leagues and help arrange health checks.
In 2010, the number of Kiwanians in Nevada will swell into the thousands as members come from all around the world for the 95th annual Kiwanis International Convention, June 24-27. Service and leadership will share the spotlights as members gather at the Las Vegas Convention Center for fun and fellowship, to elect new leaders, to celebrate the life-changing service they provide and to look ahead to the 100th anniversary of the organization.
Start planning your trip to Vegas today. From October 1–December 31, you can register for the Kiwanis International Convention at this year’s rate of $195—and save US$55. After January 1, you can sign up at the preregistration price of $250. Be an early bird! Plan ahead and save big.
