Nearly 1,500 Key Club members and their advisors and administrators hooped it up in 100+ degree heat at the 66th Annual Key Club International Convention, which took place July 1–4 in Dallas, Texas.
Convention participants came to the four-day event from all corners of the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Three Key Club members and one advisor came all the way from Germany to join in the fun.
During the convention, Key Clubbers raised almost $14,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Dallas, a Children’s Miracle Network facility. They watched in awe as entertainer Steve Meade hypnotized 17 of their peers on stage. They listened as keynote speaker Scott Greenberg conveyed an inspirational message about self-esteem. They attended informative workshops, displayed club and district projects during the Service Fair, voted on amendments, elected the 2009–10 board and celebrated with new friends and old at masquerade- and 1960s-themed dances.
These are just a few of the highlights. You can see more great convention moments on Flickr.
