For the 173 Circle K International members who participated in this year's Large Scale Service Project, that impact is huge. CKI provided the city of New Orleans with 4,372 hours of community service June 25–27.
LSSP projects included:
- building and painting for Habitat for Humanity,
- sorting food donations for Second Harvest Food Bank,
- weeding gardens at a New Orleans charter school,
- organizing recyclable materials for The Green Project, and more.
And we added something new this year: Kiwanians and Aktion Club members were invited to join. Those two groups were also in town—for the 97th Annual Kiwanis International Convention and the 2nd Annual Aktion Club Training and Leadership Conference, respectively. It truly was a Kiwanis-family experience.
Join us in Vancouver, British Columbia, next year for more service…and more Kiwanis-family fellowship!
