In June, the Kiwanis International European Federation convention in Bergen, Norway, was a great success—from The Eliminate Project flags flying high in Bergen’s main shopping street to the many events that gave updates about the campaign’s progress in Europe. In addition to a workshop Friday morning, a booth at the hotel and several speakers during the main events, The Eliminate Project was also represented during the general session with a Model Club recognition ceremony, honoring the current class of governors for the Model Clubs in their districts.
There was positive feedback throughout the convention, and the districts celebrated the first US$1 million in funds raised for the Eliminate Project in Europe. See Europe’s progress at http://sites.kiwanis.org/Kiwanis/en/theELIMINATEproject/Progress/Summaryoffundraisingtotals.aspx.
