If a picture’s worth a thousand words, The Eliminate Project progress dashboard could be worth 110 million. This page uses maps and other graphic elements to monitor the progress Kiwanis is making in our fundraising efforts to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT).
At a glance, you can tell which countries are still affected by MNT (those in brown) and which have, according to the World Health Organization, recently eliminated the disease (those in dark blue). You can also see how widespread the Kiwanis fundraising efforts have become—across five continents! But there’s more than meets the eye to this world map.
Click on a colored area of the map. If you’ve chosen a country where MNT remains a public health threat, you’ll find out more about that country, including the population, infant mortality rate and what level of progress has been made to eliminate MNT. If you click on areas covered in grey-blue, you’ll find out how much that country has raised toward the US$110 million goal. Use that information to inform and inspire your club to meet its own goals for The Eliminate Project.
Check back often to see the progress you’ve helped make.
