Time to Lead

The 2008-09 Governors from all over the world were here in Indianapolis this week for their GE Education Conference.  This was an amazing group of leaders who are heading back to their districts all fired up about leadership.  For three and a half days this team worked together to develop their personal leadership skills and to prepare for their upcoming year as District Governor.  I was very encouraged by their passion, enthusiasm and leadership acumen.  This is going to be a great class of leaders.  To those of you who offered advice and cousel, please know that it was very much appreciated by the Governor-Elects.

After our time together in Indianapolis, ask any Governor-Elect what time it is, and they will most likely tell you it is "Time to Lead"... and they are ready!

As one of those Governors-elect that attended the GE Education Conference in November, 2007, I must say that it was one of those 'Kiwanis Moments' that I will cherish the rest of my life.  You are correct, Rob - this is an extremely enthusiastic group of ladies and gentlemen that want to lead and be a credit to Kiwanis.  I am pleased and gratified that I am in the class of this elite group.

I will be coming in as one of the Lt. Governors during the 2008-2009 term here in the Philippine Luzon District and this early I see the enthusiasm of our Governor-Elect. He is one of the youngest Governor our District will ever have and after the training he took in Indianapolis, he is ripe and full of ideas to benefit the performance of the district especially in increasing club membership. His enthusiasm is contagious I am even more inspired to perform my best believing that the teamwork is well on its way to make it. Thank you for the marvelous training and Kiwanis education given to them by the staff there in KI specially to our CEO Rob Parker.
