JUST DO IT

I know there are people who go the doctor, get their regular physicals, take their prescribed medications and follow their advice.  If you are one of them, good for you.  For the rest of us, we need a push in the right direction from time to time.  Today I finally took my doctors advice and had a very important cancer screening that he had been recommending. It wasn't that I was fearful or anything, I just did not seem to be able to find the time.  (That's my story and I am sticking to it).  Well, I did the test this afternoon and the results are in.  I have a completely clean bill of health!  It feels great to know that, but it also would have been very important to know if I did have an issue.  So, for those of you who have been procrastinating about something you know you should do, my unsolicited advice is to do what NIKE has been telling us for years:  JUST DO IT!

So you think you are Billy Rae Cyrus... A good article, I know!!  My brain tumor was 15 years ago, my brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor this week. My wife has had *** cancer and tounge cancer (no, she never smoked). GET THOSE CHECK-UPS!!

This coming year will be my third bout as president (1987-88) (2001-02) and (2008-09).

My first year I tried to get added to "Young Children: Priority One", the following: "Seniors, Priority TOO!" as we live in a fast growing retirement area (Twain Harte, CA). I still feel this way as I am now getting to be in the senior age.

Can you help??

James,

We have lots of clubs who do service for seniors as well as young children.  There is certainly enough room under the Kiwanis tent for almost any kind of service.  From a marketing perspective we are continuing to focus our efforts on branding ourselves as an organization focused on building leaders who serve children...but we do a lot more than just that.
