The Kiwanis International Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, begins in 61 days. The last time we were in Nashville (1997) we ended up with one of our most well attended conventions ever.
Although the numbers of attendees won’t be as large as they were 12 years ago (members were voting on a proposed dues increase after all), the numbers of opportunities for learning will be.
· Learn more about sponsoring and working with Kiwanis-family clubs encompassing all age groups.
· Give your club’s service a new focus by following already established Kiwanis programs and partnerships like Terrific Kids, Bring Up Grades, Kiwanis One Day and Young Children: Priority One.
· Specialized leadership tracks geared towards making you better at the job you were elected to perform.
· Get the latest on how to use Kiwanis technology offerings to make your club stronger and more efficient.
Many Kiwanis clubs used to build leadership support and training into their club budget by paying all, or a portion, of the costs associated with sending their leaders to the convention. Props to your club if you continue to make that investment! If your club doesn’t currently subsidize the cost of sending your leaders to convention, I’m challenging your club to make that commitment. I guarantee your club and your members will be better off for it.
