District Conventions

I am on my way today to Georgia for their district convention.  I will have an opportunity to spend some time with their delegates talking about leadership and doing a question and answer time.  If you were talking to a group of Kiwanis leaders about the keys to great volunteer leadership, what would you tell them?

Hi Bob , GOOD LUCK IN GEORGIA.  Well, if I may add to The Keys to  great volunteer leadersihip , I would say, 1) Pick your favourite  programme. e.g Little Children of the World, Haiti.  2) Tell your groups all you know about the project.  3) What you have done to help the project and how the project benefitted from your efforts . e.g success stories.  and 4) "communication is the key to any relationship"  Keep talkin g about your favourite programme whenever you meet with a group of people, with an invitation to join you.  Thank you Bob and have fun.  Cymbi.

I would stress the need to remain positive in all KIWANIS endeavours! There is ALWAYS something positive to find in all our collective pursuits. We have heard this repeated many times because it bears repeating. The importance of approaching and overcoming any and all obstacles placed in our path in a wholy positive frame of mind is paramount!  The Kiwanis 'Mission" sells itself, its up to each of us to reinvigorate one another whenever and whereever possible!
