June is convention month, and soon Kiwanians from around the world will be boarding planes, trains and automobiles to make their way to Nashville, Tennessee, Music City, USA, to take part in one of the world’s largest gathering of service-minded men and women—the 94th annual Kiwanis International Convention.
For those of you planning to attend the convention, I encourage you to take full advantage of the convention opportunity. Make and to renew friendships. Take part in workshops that will help keep your clubs strong and growing and make sure the members experience is fun and relevant. And raise your hand and your voice to elect new leaders and consider resolutions and amendments to our bylaws.
The convention promises speakers who will enlighten and entertain you, but who will inspire you, too. So, plan to enjoy your time in Nashville, and to join us as we celebrate this amazing year of service and plan for the future, a time when Kiwanis is needed more than ever.
For those who are unable to attend the convention, I encourage you to visit the convention Web site, http://www.kiwanisone.org/convention, to learn about all the planned events and activities. Then, during and after convention, go back to view the highlights videos from convention, to learn the election and amendment outcomes and to view some of the many pictures taken during the three-day event.
You should also make plans now to be a part of next year’s Kiwanis International convention, to be held in June in Las Vegas. Show your spirit, show your support and share and show your Kiwanis heart with other Kiwanians from around the world.
