The entire building is a flurry of meetings, excited chatter and planning for the convention season that lies ahead.
For those who haven't heard, we do these little events each year for Key Club, CKI and Kiwanis. It's just a simple gathering of friends. A time to come together, vote on the issues, select leadership for the new year and have a great time. You know ... just a relaxed gathering for business and pleasure.
To those of you attending, we hope it seems just that. Simple. Stress-free. FUN.
For those of us behind-the-scenes, it's a lot busier than that. But it's still a lot of fun. We know that if we have fun planning each of the international conventions each year, that excitement we have will bubble over. It'll be contagious.
We hope you're planning a trip to Dallas for Key Club International Convention, or Birmingham, Alabama, for CKI Convention, or Nashville, Tennessee, for the Kiwanis International Convention.
Wanna know what's going on here to get ready for these big events? Here's a quick behind-the-scenes look at what a few of us are up to:
* Some of us in marketing have been putting together a fun notebook for a writing/photography workshop to be held at Kiwanis Convention.
* The content and design teams are gearing up to tackle the programs for each convention.
* Numerous team members are reading and re-reading proposed amendments.
* Meetings and conventions staff is finalizing everything from workshops to hotel space to tunnels to gobos. (If you don't know what that is, part of the fun is figuring it out.)
* Key Club is coming up with a workshop that will share fun ways to "green your service." Oh, and yoga, too!
* CKI is reaching out to Ellen DeGeneres to ask her to tape a hello message for convention attendees. How fun is that?!
All of this and a lot, lot more is going on at the International Office to prepare for our annual conventions.
Have you registered yet?
We sure hope so. See you there!
