The Web team has been doing a little bit of housekeeping on the Web sites in terms of updating content, redoing links and layouts, etc. This will continue through the district convention time period right up to the new Kiwanis year, starting October 1. Here's a rundown of the latest (or recently updated) Web features:
We revised the Community Partners section in www.KiwanisOne.org (under About Us). If you're not familiar with our official advertisers and authorized licensees, now is a good time to browse these pages.
We've also updated YCPO resources for download in the Service & Fundraising section of KiwanisOne. YCPO = Young Children: Priority One. You'll notice the downloadables marked with green UPDATED notation. Don't be fooled by the old origination file date - the actual file you'll get is new, but by swapping instead of deleting and reposting as brand new, we retain any member comments and replies with each file.
More helpful resources include the Computer Basics Tip Sheet (also a KiwanisOne download) that chief technology officer Scott Smith presented as a session in Nashville this past June. This is a handy cheat sheet for anyone, not just beginners.
Also, the July/August PR Inciter newsletter was posted to KiwanisOne (under Marketing & PR newsletters).
For those that like to get started early on promoting the 2010 International Convention (like we do!), we posted the Las Vegas convention logos to K1 downloads area (under Conventions & Events, KI 2010). In addition, if you'd like to see photo highlights of the past conventions (currently Nashville ICON and Key Club in Dallas), go to www.flickr.com/photos/kiwanisinternational. Remember, the Nashville Web site is live until mid-August and accessed from the button on the Las Vegas teaser page.
You may also have noticed that there is a new Kiwanis Family Store ad posted to the KiwanisOne dashboard (home page) coordinated with the e-mail campaign that goes out to past purchasers. The monthly e-mail campaign highlights 1-3 special products and we are going to try and coordinate the dashboard ads with each month. Anyone who has bought something from the store makes it onto the e-mailing list, but you can also subscribe to see the monthly specials if you're still thinking about your first purchase.
Not everything was above KiwanisOne however. The Club Giving form, which accepts donations for the Annual Club Gift campaign and Skip-A-Meal campaign, launched on the Foundation (KIF) site. The form is linked from the club giving landing page, from the ACG page and Skip-A-Meal page, as well as the Donate Now page.
That's it for this week, but you know there'll be lots more next week. If you've come across a page or section that is in bad need of a refresh, let me know so I can be sure it's on our immediate radar.
