Application for new Kiwanis club members. Note: This can now be done online.

You can log in to KiwanisOne where you go to do your monthly reports.  Then in the Secretary menu there is an item called "Member Management (KI)". Click on that to add/delete/edit members online.

i'm not seeing the "Member Management" item in the Secretary menu.  Below is the list I have. I've been through each of these buttons and don't have a way to add on-line.  Can download the form, but not submit.  Nothing noted as "Member Management" - can  you tell me where it is hidden??

The Member Management item was on up to Wednesday March 10 but is now unavailable. Why?

Also it is not accepting telephone numbers for Jamaica. There is an error message staing that there is not enough digits.

The secretary's information states that we can now add members on-line.  I presume that process includes the means to remove members from our membership.  However, I've not been able to locate how to do this job on-line.

How do I edit a members name that is spelled wrong?  Using the Member Management I can only find an area to edit addresses and phone numbers.

When attempting to add a new member, I twice received '404 file or directory not found.' Unfortunately we have to delete a member so I have gone around loops in several  previous attempts to delete as well.

In order to get this off my desk I think I will just mail the forms in the old fashion way.

Now, believing things couldn't get worse, I find that they have shut down the pony express. I'll have to take my chances with the combination of Canadian and US mail.

To edit a member with an incorrectly spelled name, please send the correction via email to memberservices@kiwanis.org - the Member Management tool is not designed to allow users to change names as a security precaution to avoid unnecessary reuse or duplication of records.

Herbert, you are determined! We apologize for the technical difficulties you were having with the Member Management tool.  I believe the issues from last week have now been resolved, and you should be able to use the tool once again without receiving error messages. Ronald, I checked your profile to confirm that you do have access to the Member Management tool.  It is found just below the Secretary Dashboard in the Secretary navigation links to the left of your screen.  

This new tool (which replaces the old Kiwanis Remote) does allow you to delete a member, as well as add a new member, or edit an existing one.  When you add a new member via this tool, you also have the ability to print off an invoice to send in along with your payment for dues.  Try it - let us know what you think!

Lotte, if you're using the new Member Management tool to add a new member to your club's roster, you can add their phone number or fax number if you leave off the dash.  So in stead of 217-6167 enter 2176167.  Sorry for the difficulty - a developer will add a note about the correct format to use to the screen soon.

I am working as webmaster in the Club Kiwanis One Portal and am trying to see when new member information feeds into our own Club database once it has been added at KI either directly through the online application or by mail --What is the time frame for data transfers? We added members in April, they are in the Secretary file showing up at KI 5/19  but not in our data base yet.  I am also trying to see what actually transfers in to know what we need to "add" if necessary, for a complete member bio, we collect more info from new members than what is in the official application.  I am helping to  move our member data from KCMS to our Kiwanis One Web Portal

Rosemary, can you please send examples of the names you are missing from your roster to memberservices(at)kiwanis.org - someone on the Member Services team can give you specific answers to your questions.  

If you are using the Member Management tool to edit member information, it is usually reflected immediately.

If you use the Member Management tool to add a brand new member, the record may be added to your roster immediately and the system would allow you to print an invoice.  

But if the system detects a possible duplicate record or if it requires additional coding on our end, then you will receive a red on-screen message explaining what will happen. Member Services would do the extra necessary processing within 7-10 days, and they will send you an email confirmation when it it completed.  You would not see the new member in your roster until this process is completed on our end. And an invoice would be mailed to you within a month.

Adele, if you received the red on-screen message that additional processing is necessary by our Member Services team for a new member you just added (via Member Management), you will receive an email confirmation with 7-10 days once it's completed.  We will mail you an invoice within the month.

for members transferring from one club to another should we do it by emailing the member information form?  Both clubs? or should the losing club do that and then the gaining club just add him.  Should be no fee since dues are paid up and he will be on his new club's roster come 9/30/10 at midnight.
