The standard rules for structure and operation of every Kiwanis club
As our first fillable bylaws project, it took a little longer than expected. But we are trying to post them 'as we speak'! Regarding the club bylaws changes, two options were added: to give club officers two-year terms and to conduct online electronic balloting. Changes are only necessary if your club wishes to take advantage of either option, but are not necessary for non-opting clubs to adopt.

The new version of the club bylaws is now available with fillable fields and it can be saved to your computer.
Not to nit-pick, but could all the option fields be check marks instead of the mix of check marks and radio buttons we have now. The radio buttons are a bit of a eye-sore...
Actually, it looks there is an error with the radio buttons. The radio buttons in Article VII/Section 3, Article XI/Section 1, and Article XIII/Section 1 are all linked together. So if you choose an option in one section, any options chosen in a previous section are undone. I'm all for cleverness, but I still prefer the checks
Replying now that I'm logged in :)
Charlie, about the radio buttons in general, they're necessary to keep clubs from accidentally trying to check both/all options within the same Section, which would accidentally invalidate their submitted bylaws. This saves time for the club by not having to re-do and re-submit the form again.
As to some earlier radio buttons 'un-checking' when you select later ones, this did not come up in initial testing, but does appear to be a problem. We’ll get it fixed as quickly as possible and re-post a new version. Thanks for catching this!

I would like to download the Standard Form Club By-laws and find it is not available on this site. Am I doing something wrong or is it unavailable. Jane Clingerman
Jane - You are in the right place. You should just be able to click the large, green download button on the top right of the page.
I need to change the wording in a couple of places. Is that possible? Our weekly meetings shall not be more than one (1) hour in lieu of the current wording. There are several other changes, but used that as an example.
I do not believe you can change the wording. However, you can amend the bylaws to suit your club in Article XXIV (Amendments). As long as the amendments aren't in direct opposition to KI Bylaws anyhow. :)
Audrey - The response from Charlie is right on. The wording can't be changed.
