Where can I find cost to Add New Member?  In Us $$? Does that include District Fee?

Maxwell - The cost for a new member is $50. This a set fee regardless of district.

Chris:

What is the New Member Add Fee when the new member is a former member of a SLP {ie Key Club}?

Carol - There is no charge for a former SLP member when they join Kiwanis. Some districts still do charge a fee so you would need to contact your district to be sure.

What are the selling points/benefits for a company executive who might be approached to allow a Company Club?  MIght the Company Club sponsor SLP's?

Chris Hayworth wrote re: FAQ: Update on Membership Initiatives.pdf

Michael - Company clubs allow for those employees, who may not otherwise be inclined to join a Kiwanis club, the chance to participate in a service organization. The club meeting could be held during a breakfast or lunch time, when employees are already at their place of work. This would alleviate the need for employees to leave the office or arrive late because the club meeting is onsite. Bringing employees together to participate in service to others could also help to build a more cohesive work environment, as well, since employees would be afforded the chance to work with employees from various departments. A CEO would be able to tout to the community the employee’s involvement in Kiwanis as a company, which could attract positive publicity and applicants and who support the push toward service in the workplace. Also, increased awareness of the company in the community may lead to increased revenue, too. By all means, a company club may sponsor any SLP program of its choice.

I found info on Corporate Memberships but is there a separate application form for Corp. membership? If so, where do I find it?

Chris Hayworth wrote re: FAQ: Update on Membership Initiatives.pdf

- There is no separate application for a corporate membership. On the membership application, the club only needs to note the membership is a Corporate Membership. If that member changes, KI only asks that the club report the change in information.

What ever happened to the "Think 39" program?

Doug - It would be best for you to contact our Member Services department to ensure that you are given the correct information. They will need more of the details to figure out exactly what they can do with this member.

Mariev- I have not heard of the program at the International level. This may be a program that is being done by your district. I would check with them.

There is a new membership initiative called Corporate Member.  How does a club report this new category when adding a new member?

David, as Chris responded above, there is no separate application for a corporate membership.

On the membership application, the club only needs to note the membership is a Corporate Membership. If that member changes, KI only asks that the club report the change in information.

Lloyd, currently, special benefits apply to graduates who were members of Circle K International and/or Key Club.

While they still pay the new member add fee, their dues to Kiwanis International are waived for 2 years.  There’s a box to check on the Kiwanis Member Information form (just below where you enter the new member's sponsor info) to indicate they were a sponsored youth - the dues invoice should reflect this waiver when you receive it.

If you load the new member using the KiwanisOne Member Management tool, there's also a checkbox in the Kiwanis History section (very first section) to indicate that the individual was a sponsored youth. You won't be able to see this type of new member in your roster right away or print the invoice since it'll require special handling by Member Services, but the adjusted invoice will be mailed to you.

In addition, some districts have chosen to waive district dues as well for 2 years.  Contact your district office to get details.

Kathleen, it's not an option to convert an individual membership into a Corporate Membership.

It was explained to me that the Secretary of the club will need to send in a Membership Information form with the information (company name, and the person who is representing the company) and they will pay the initiation fees to International and District.

Is the Corporate Membership fee the same as an individual's?

Linda K. Sheets wrote re: FAQ: Update on Membership Initiatives.pdf

I found no answers as to what to bill a new corporate member.  Isn't there a standard fee set?  I went to a seminar at the convention that touched on it, and showed a power point slide that indicated charges would be based on # of employees.  but there was no handout.  I need help please.

Thank you!

I would like to use the corporate membership in our club's recruitment efforts, but like Linda Sheets (see her 9/20/10 posting) I have no idea as to a fee structure.  Is this fee achedule avalaible?

I was a former member of Kiwanis International, Zamboanga District, in  Mindanao, Philippines. In fact elected President. but for long it has been inactive  in view of my assignment to another place. I want to revive my membership involvement with the Kiwanis in any district. Is this possible?
